How do I qualify for PI status?

The following prescribed thresholds apply in order to be eligible to be treated as a PI:

1. Any trust corporation having been entrusted under the trust or trusts of which it acts as a trustee with total assets of at least $40 million HKD or its equivalent in any foreign currency; 
2. Any individual (either alone or with his spouse or children on a joint account) having a portfolio of at least $8 million HKD or its equivalent in any foreign currency;
3. Any corporation or partnership having either a portfolio of at least HK$ 8 million or total assets of at least $40 million HKD or its equivalent in any foreign currency; and
4. Any corporation whose sole business is to hold investments and which is wholly owned by an individual who (either alone or with his spouse or children on a joint account) falls within the description in paragraph (b) above.
5. StashAway is entitled and obliged, pursuant to the Securities and Futures Commission of Hong Kong, to provide an annual confirmation of the Professional Investor to ensure the eligibility.
